LAS VEGAS and MADISON, Wis.,  April 2, 2009 - TrafficCast International has introduced Dynaflow™  2.0, its next generation of high quality traffic data information and road speed forecasting for mobile content, media, fleet management and the public sector.

Commercially, Dynaflow 2.0 is the traffic data system integrated iinto TomTom’s GO 740 LIVE connected device.  TomTom is the world’s largest distributor of Personal Navigation Devices.

Dynaflow 2.0 provides road speed forecasts 48 hours in advance in over 100 markets in the United States covering the expressways and major arterials serving all the major markets in the United States.  Dynaflow calculates road speeds based on public sensors, accident reports, weather, construction and local events modeled against GPS Tracking data reported millions of data points per day.

Unique features of Dynaflow 2.0 include its dynamic analysis of local and regional Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking data as well as patented modeling and QA algorithms for ongoing data output monitoring to assure the most reliable and accurate road speed forecasts. Combined, the features will yield better travel decisions, more actionable logistics strategies and efficient road network management.
